Thanks for Voting

Thanks so much for offering up your color scheme thoughts on my gingham/red dress, Simplicity 3016.

To recap I’m making the dress below with a red bodice, red and white gingham skirt and a white cummerbund. And with your input I added in some gingham piping on the bodice, just last night.

In fact, I got so wrapped up in sewing the bodice last night that I forgot to write my blog post.

I was debating making the jacket that coincided with S3016, but Annabellebumps came to my rescue with the sweet little bolero pattern from S1655.

The winning color combination for the jacket was a red main color, accented with gingham. The votes were really quite close for the bodice piping and for the bolero color combination. But I was happy to see that you all wanted the same accents of gingham on everything (bodice and bolero) to tie in with the skirt.
