I can’t make this sort of thing up peeps, the rough title of this jumper is called ‘The Pretty Look’. Today’s pattern comes from the July 1954 edition of Stitchcraft. I picked out this pattern especially for Stephanie since she requested more summer jumpers. Also, I like the daisy stitch detail on the neckline and sleeve hems.
Here it is again, but in B&W:

This pattern is knit using the ‘same as ever’ gauge of 8 sts per inch over 10 rows, using a fingering weight yarn. This pattern comes in 3 different sizes ranges: 32-33″ bust, 34-35″ bust, and 36-37″ bust. Isn’t that splendid?!
I love the delicate daisy stitches on this jumper. I think this would be a perfect intro pattern to work on for color work newbies (like I still am).
Like always, I take requests whether it be era or genres of patterns. But I’m itching to post up a cute knit bathing suit pattern for fun, so that may be up for next week.
Have a good weekend everyone!
I’m not going to vote for long-sleeved or colorwork since it’s summer, so I’ll hold off on my requests for a few more months. lol I love the idea of just a little pop of colorwork on the sleeves and neckline on this, this one’s adorable!
I love this one, I’m also a newbie to colour work, maybe this is the one to start with :)
I hereby award you the Versatile Blogger Award!
