Spring Wardobe Drooling aka Katie Ermilio’s Spring 2012 Line

I’ve mentioned it sporadically, but I love pinterest and have tons of pins and favorites since it’s my ONE source for housing inspirational images (besides having a few magazine pages torn out and stored on random bookshelves).

So it came as a surprise that when I was digging a bit deeper into an image or two that I saved on my Spring Inspiration Board, I found that they were from the same designer, Katie Ermilio.

I went to her website and was completely smitten.  I think I love every garment that she has created, and she has me itching to push the sewing boundaries of my printed patterns and to create them in my own way.

Here are some of my favorites from the Spring 2012 line… and yes it was hard to not post up every single image from here website onto mine!

Peplums make a big appearance in her Sprig 2012 line!  I love the way they’re all different.

The open back is awesome on this dress:

I can’t tell if these are shorts or skorts.  The image on the right looks like a skirt…  What do you think?

I love the designs of these garments, but it’s also the color!, the styling!, and the fabric choices!  They’re all in such perfect harmony.

These colors are just want I want filling my closet: whites, aqua, pinks, peaches, and mustard not to mention the oodles of silk present: chiffon, taffeta, 4-ply crepe, etc.

More lovely peplums:

All that’s going through my mind right now is a Truffle revamp:

I could never pull this off but it’s awesome, no?!

This design looks a little bridesmaid-y to me, but it’s still quite pretty and feminine.

Just a little pop of skin at the lower back.  Isn’t this an intriguing idea to incorporate into a dress.  And more peplum love here too!

This screams Breakfast at Tiffany’s to me.

These cigarette pants could be a modified clover, too.

This is the dress that made me click-through to find out who designed this dress.  I fell in love with the gathered bodice and really, really want to try my hand at something similar once I get a dressform.

More of my favorite bodice rushing, but with cap sleeves aaand an open back to say nothing of the silk fabric.

Okay, so I tried not to gush at each and every image to let you swoon on your own, but I couldn’t help it!  :| I got carried away by  the lovelies.

In reading more about Katie Ermilio, it probably won’t come as a surprise that Katie seemed to have grown up in the fashion business.  Her father owns a custom clothing shop and her grandfather was the personal clothier for Grace Kelly.  Katie’s garments scream simplicity, elegance, and femininity.  It’s a good thing I can’t wear cocktail dresses to work else I’d be in serious trouble.

Which one is your favorite & why?  :)

Ohhh, I nearly forgot.  There’s a whole ‘nother season of pretty garments (Fall 2011) on Katie’s website if you want to see more.
