Small Vintage Fitting Resource

I came across this document as I was searching about yoke fit and thought I’d share it with you guys.

It appears that its an online pdf of a vintage dressmaking book, that was posted online from the University of Wisconsin-Madison library.

I was trying to backtrack the link to find the whole publication, but was unable to do so.  But either way take a gander at the link, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Great link and tip – I thought I knew quite a bit about fitting but learned how to fit a circle skirt with this resource – that is fantastic!! Thanks!!

I believe this link will take you to the record for the entire digitized version of the publication (The new dressmaker: with complete and fully illustrated instruction on every point connected with sewing, dressmaking and tailoring …, 1921, from the Butterick Publishing Co.):;idno=4219047

It’s not as easy to navigate as a PDF, but it should all be there as the publication is no longer covered by copyright. Enjoy!
